Miztrix made a strong debut, backed by local support from MK1, Gily, Fusion, and Point.99, each adding their own flavor to the session.

Late afternoon begins outdoors on the deck with a sunset soundtrack session from Beatles Dub Club, delivering his distinctive, genre-blending performance as the day fades into night.

From relaxed sunset vibes to high-energy club pressure, Drum, Bass & Dub Club is about contrast, flow, and Goodtime’s signature beach-to-dancefloor atmosphere.

MK1 (Mark1) is a jungle drum & bass veteran, with over 30 years deep in the culture as a DJ, publisher, and scene builder.

As former Assistant Editor of ATM Magazine, the pioneering drum & bass magazine of the ‘90s, MK1 was embedded at the heart of the genre during its formative years before relocating to Thailand in 2001. There, he became one of the earliest DJs to establish drum & bass residencies on Koh Tao, holding down regular nights at The Whitening and Venus Bar, alongside a long-running Full Moon Party residency at the Orchid Club on Haad Rin (now Sunrise Bar).

After leaving Thailand, MK1 relocated to Australia, where he founded ATM Oceanic, the official sister publication to ATM, spotlighting Australian and New Zealand artists while touring nationally as a DJ. Based in Perth, his profile grew alongside the magazine, cementing his reputation as both a selector and a respected voice within the scene.

Returning to Koh Tao in 2022, MK1 set about rebuilding the island’s drum & bass culture from the ground up. Through Goodtime Beach Club and as curator of the D&B and UKG Stage 3 at Escobar Jungle Party, he has helped bring nearly 30 international main-circuit artists to the island in just two years, redefining what’s possible in the region.

Now operating as Urban Agency’s Asia booking agent and founder of Paradise Breaks, the next-generation, streaming-first platform dedicated to underground music, culture, and adventure in Southeast Asia, MK1 continues to spread the word of drum & bass around the world.
