Gily is a UK-born drum & bass DJ and artist raised in Brighton — a city that quietly shaped his relationship with music, creativity, and identity. Beneath an imposing physical presence lies a thoughtful, deeply musical artist whose journey has been defined by self-discovery, emotional honesty, and connection through sound.

Growing up neurodivergent and naturally introverted, music became Gily’s refuge — a space to breathe, express, and gradually build confidence. His early foundations were rooted in live instrumentation, studying saxophone and piano before discovering DJing at the age of 14. By 16, he was formally studying Music Production and Sound Engineering, setting the groundwork for a lifelong commitment to music.

Over more than 15 years, Gily’s sound and outlook have been shaped by the emotional depth, integrity, and forward-thinking ethos of drum & bass — drawing inspiration from both the genre’s late greats and its most influential modern voices. That lineage runs deep in his approach: soulful yet weighty, reflective yet functional, always grounded in feeling rather than hype.

Authenticity sits at the core of everything he does — real emotion, real connection, and music that carries meaning beyond the dancefloor. After years of growth, learning, and self-belief, Gily is now stepping forward with a clear artistic vision and long-term ambitions to release on leading drum & bass labels, marking the beginning of a new chapter in his journey.
